The Beatles’ Ringo Starr, 83, reunited with John Lennon’s long-lost guitar | Music | Entertainment

After almost 60 years, John Lennon’s long-lost Framus 12-string Hootenanny acoustic guitar has been found.

The Beatles legend’s instrument, which he used during the recordings of the Help! album and film, was recently discovered in a British attic.

Expected to break the world record for the highest-selling Beatles guitar at auction, the piece of rock history has been reunited with Sir Ringo Starr at his Los Angeles home.

Pictured with the instrument, the 83-year-old drummer said: “After so many years I’m happy to see this guitar again, thanks to a little ‘Help’ from my friends at Julien’s [Auctions].”

Beatles fans can view the guitar for themselves in both London and New York over the next couple of weeks.

Lennon’s long-lost guitar will go on display for free at London’s Hard Rock Cafe Piccadilly Circus from April 23-29. Meanwhile, US fans can view the instrument at Hard Rock Cafe New York from May 22-28.

The piece of rock history is then going up for auction May 29-30 here.
