As fans eagerly await the Netflix release of Steven Spielberg’s Thursday Murder Club film adaptation, Richard Osman has just announced book 5.
Two years on from the latest mystery about a group of rural pensioners who solve local murders and we have a title and release date of the latest novel.
The best-selling author posted on X this afternoon: “Delighted to announce the name of the new ‘Thursday Murder Club’ novel – The Impossible Fortune.
“Available to pre-order RIGHT NOW. So lovely to bring the gang back together. And the whole thing starts with a wedding.”
Osman added: “The inspiration was the lyric ‘Fortune’s always hiding…’ from ‘I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles’ (Ron’s idea of course). But no-one got the reference. I thought everyone knew that song!”
The Impossible Fortune by Richard Osman is published on September 25.
