Exceptional scholarship student Ruby Bell (played by Harriet Herbig-Matten), with dreams of Oxford University, finds herself falling for privileged and wealthy James Beaufort (Damian Hardung), despite from their very different backgrounds.
Season one premiered in 2024 and almost instantly became a hit after claiming the top spot in 120 regions. The German-language drama is now one of the streaming platform’s most popular non-American Original series.

Much like the release schedule for The Summer I Turned Pretty, Maxton Hall is being drip-fed to fans.
Episodes one to three were dropped in one go on November 7 to reel audiences back in.

When does the next episode of Maxton Hall come out?
Season two, episode four of Maxton Hall will be hitting Amazon Prime Video on Friday, November 14.
The next instalment will be dropped globally at the same time, however, the time when you can view it will depend on your geographical location.
Like season one, the second series also consists of six episodes.
Episodes four to six will be released on a weekly basis, so episode five will air on November 21 and the finale episode six on November 28.
Fans desperate for more Maxton Hall – The World Between Us can rest easy after it was confirmed back in June this year that the teen drama would return for a third and final outing.
Season two of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us sees Ruby and James’ blossoming romance put to the test after their steamy night of passion.
Despite their strong feelings for each other, James’ family is pulling him away from Ruby as she continues to set her sights on Oxford.
However, Ruby will also be fighting for James, realising she’s never felt like this about anyone in her life. Can the two come back together against the odds?
Speaking about filming on the second season after the success of season one, star Herbig-Matten said: “For me, the success of the first season was a great motivation for continuing filming.
“I want to give everything to the role again and create something that fans can love. And I believe you can see this motivation in every department, in every role.”
While her co-star Hardung teased the second outing: “James is fighting for stability. Like all of us, he needs reference points – something in life he can hold onto. His own visions of the future don’t help him because they simply don’t exist.
“When mother, love, and father all fall away, then inner emptiness threatens. Getting out of that again, finding himself again – that’s his big task in the second season.”
