A Good Person review: Florence Pugh hits the buffers with this dollop of schmaltz | Films | Entertainment

EastEnders fans know what must follow such a happy scene. While driving to her wedding dress fitting, Allison glances at her phone and accidentally kills her fiance’s sister and husband.

Her recovery leaves her single and addicted to painkillers. And, when she decides to get clean, she finds herself at the same AA meeting as her alcoholic would-have-been father-in-law (Morgan Freeman).

He blames Allison for killing his daughter but, slowly, the pair help each other towards self-healing.

Pugh has been on a roll recently but hits the buffers with this dollop of schmaltz.
